Do You Know the #1 Resource for Achieving Success?

When it comes to achieving success, you are your own number one resource. You shouldn’t be exhausting that resource. You are not a resource to be used up! Some people refer to this mindset as “self-love.” There are all kinds of ways you can make sure that you are not using yourself up, including:

  • Eating right
  • Exercising
  • Finding a hobby
  • Getting plenty of sleep
  • Stimulating your mind
  • Learning new things

These are all ways to care for yourself. If you’re not doing these types of things, you’re not putting yourself in the right mindset for success. You might be thinking, “I don’t have time for all that!” Achieving the right balance with all these things when you’re starting a business and doing it successfully is challenging. But achieving success is definitely not impossible.

Imperfection is Inevitable

If you want a new life, you have to be willing to let your old life fall apart. Be willing to make changes like downsizing and moving to make room for the new life you want. You won’t necessarily have to let it all fall apart. But if you’re not willing to let it happen, change will never occur.

Success is not a pursuit of perfection. If it was, you’d drive yourself nuts. You’ll never be able to achieve perfection. That being said, you need to set specific goals. Without goals, you’ll never know when you’re getting off-track and further away from your end goal. You’ll only keep falling further off track, and you’ll never be able to be truly successful.

You don’t have to do it all at once. Give yourself tiny timeframes to get little steps done. This doesn’t necessarily mean you have to quit your job right away. A lot of people have to start by only working on building their business part-time while still working a full-time job. When they achieve success at the part-time level, they can quit their jobs and focus on building their business full-time and become even more successful! You can do that too!

How Do You Start Right Now?

Don’t wait to start caring for your number one resource. Do something just for you today! Remember, you don’t have to make a major life change to start. Begin the process with something small like making a healthy choice, joining a yoga class, or going for a walk on the beach. Then thank yourself for trying something different. Tomorrow, do that same thing again or try something else new. Make it a practice! Don’t forget to set your intentions. If you’re aren’t making a plan, you’re planning to fail.
