5 Steps to Building a Massively Profitable Team

Today on the Industry Insider, we’re talking about building a profitable team in network marketing!

Here’s some advice for anyone who is thinking about getting into network marketing: When you’re thinking about joining a company, make sure the compensation plan makes sense to you and make sure it’ll meet your financial goals in the short, medium, and long term.

Even with the best business in the world, you’re going to have challenging times. But be sure to invest your time in something that’s likely to work for you. We wasted our time on other business efforts before this one, and let us tell you, the amount of success here has far outweighed anything we’ve ever done before!

Many types of businesses require you to build a team: without a team, you won’t make any money. With this business’s compensation plan, that’s not quite the case. You don’t actually have to rely on a team: you can do it on your own individual effort! This is great because it allows you to start making money right out of the gate, even when you don’t have a team yet! But once your team gets into production, you can build that success even more.

Compress Time

Your team is only going to be as motivated as you are, so you can compress time by upping your numbers: putting your information in front of more people. As an example, I (Rachel) was following a 10-plan: presenting information to people ten times a day (by sending them to an online presentation/webinar) but for the first few months. Not much was happening at first. But after several months of consistently compressing time with enough numbers, I was making far more sales and making far more money! Consistency always trumps spurts of activity.

Accelerate Initial Engagement

When Shane first got started, he was afraid to talk to people. At first, things are difficult. For example, placing ads—at first, it can take hours or even days. But once you’re used to it, it only takes 20 minutes because you aren’t spending unnecessary time and energy.

Leading is Not Training

This can be a tricky one for many people! There’s a balance: you want to support your team and allow them to flourish, but you don’t want to over-train and take too much responsibility instead of empowering and leaving it for your team.

Build a Win Win Culture

We embrace positivity here and foster it throughout our team. We’re not in this business to put anyone down, attack any other businesses, leave bad reviews, or do anything else negative when it comes to marketing and team building. If you want to build a strong and successful team, don’t do so using negative marketing tactics. Use positive ones!

Don’t Be a Wimp

And lastly, don’t be a wimp when it comes to building and leading a team. Hold your own point of view, stick to what you believe, and think for yourself. Don’t just go with what makes sense to other people. Learn to be a critical thinker, hold yourself to a higher standard, and look into facts and information.
