Why your mind can’t comprehend freedom and why you get stuck.

The Secret to Creating Freedom

Based on a podcast by Shane Krider

Freedom is an amazing thing but difficult to think about, comprehend and utilize. Understanding the reasons for this can put you in a position where you can get more out of life. That’s my goal with all the work I do on Mind Power; Born to Prosper; Prosperity of Life education and training events – everything is based around the principles and teachings on how to get the most out of life and create a life you’re excited to be living.

One of the epiphanies I had after my near death experience was the realization everything is available to you if you choose it. For some there may be a bigger hill to climb than others, but the bigger the climb, the bigger the pay off. Understanding why we get stuck in an unfulfilling life is an important step to freedom.

By freedom I mean time freedom, financial freedom, freedom to do what you want, freedom to create a future by your own design. In order for your mind to comprehend freedom, you must overcome fear, control your mind and your internal conversations, before you can access and utilize that freedom.

Open up your mind to freedom. For me, this started with my job. I HATED it, my boss hated me, and it clearly wasn’t working. I’m not saying jobs can’t be fulfilling or gratifying and add to the success in your life. Not at all. But for me, I was unhappy, unappreciated, under paid, and time poor and my situation wasn’t likely to change. I ached for something different and was increasingly irritated that I had to accept this was the experience of life. It sucked!

But then a co-worker said something to me that stuck. “Well you chose to be a car stereo installer.” And he was right. I decided to believe this was reality. I’d start thinking about being an entrepreneur but was always disabled by fear. Fear of failure, of not being smart enough, rich enough, brave enough. I believed it was out of reach.

I felt stuck. Because of my fear, I refused to accept I had freedom. It’s our fear that stops us from acting on the freedom that we have. We act from our past, not what we want for our future. So I made a choice to open my mind and eyes and make a lateral move into entrepreneurship.

It’s so great to have the freedom to create memories in some pretty spectacular parts of the world. Celebrating in Portugal!

To actually accept freedom, you have to be willing to go in a new direction and frame up your life in a different way. I was so used to being a victim in my own mind, I was the victim of my boss, of society, of the economy. Life was unfair and I was on the bad end of the equation. But when I realized I am choosing to work there, I’m choosing this life; well then I chose freedom instead. Game changer!

I had to learn to use my mind proactively, to move away from the fear and not get stuck in it. Fear can trap you but once you get on-purpose and start on the freedom path, you just stop focusing on the past, and get busy creating your future. That’s where the magic happens.

Replace the self-protection cycle of your mind by continually inputting positive substance. Learn other’s success stories, and the first thing you’ll see is that there are different levels and types of successful people from all kinds of backgrounds. There’s opportunity for everyone. Anybody can create any experience they want even with their perceived shortcomings.

It takes real courage to think in terms of freedom, and then take action. The mind steps in and tries to protect you and keep you stuck in your comfort zone. So the trick is to keep your mind occupied with things you love, while creating the life you want. Stay positive, on-purpose and active. Have a full mental reboot – I’m done looking in the rear view mirror, my past does not equal my future. I can become anything I want to become. I’m going to start playing a different role in my life right now!

Anything the mind can see and believe, it can achieve.

You don’t know how quickly things can change when you get on-purpose, and stop engaging in the drama. Create space in your mind for you to believe anything is possible then within that space, start to create what you want:

Physically in your life on a daily basis by your every day actions.

Mentally – by what you’re putting into your mind and your internal conversations.

Visually – visualize your future and design it exactly how you want.

The possibilities are endless. Freedom is out there – now go get it!
